Stephens of Bisley - Bisley
I have papers, that give info regarding my family history & hope there is someone out there who can assist me with the following. Thomas Stephens (no dates), whose son Thomas Stephens was baptized March 1754 & in turn his son George Stephens was baptized Feb 1778. George had a son Enoch Stephens who was baptized in the Village Church July 1804. Enoch married Elizabeth Mason 1823. One of their children Henry Stephens (b/date unknown) left Bisley & by 1850 had settled in Caterham Surrey & wed Mary Davis Apr 6/1850. From this point I'm very sure of my ancestry, it's the before part, that I'm so very in the dark about. If possible would like any info re:- Birth/Marriage dates, to whom wed to & children who were born of these unions. Many thanks in advance & look forward to any info if possible.

Hoping that someone can help me find information regarding my 6xG/Grandfather & his family from Bisley Glos. His name was Thomas, baptised either 1st or 11th March 1754. His wife's name unknown, including children's names. However, I do have their son George's baptismal info Feb 15th,1778, marriage to Jane Fauckes 1798 Bisley & their children. Thomas's father was also named Thomas born c1723?, wed to unknown date unknown, her birth c1727?.Their family show a Thomas re March 11/1754. Trying to trace my G G G grandfather's family. Richard Millard b. Chatford, Gloucestershire 1814 married Anne Ridler (also b.1814) in 1832. Emigrated to New South Wales on the 'Layton' in 1838 as part of the Poor Law Emigration Scheme for home weavers with sons Henry b.1834 and George b.1836. Richard's brothers Andrew and Jesse arrived NSW in 1859 aboard 'Hornet'. Any information about these families would be most welcome.

I am looking for any information anyone may have on my GGGrandfather Thomas Allen Fisher who lived in the Bisley area (Kitleigh?) in the late 1870's to the mid 1880's. They eventually emigrated to Canada in 1886. Thomas was the gameskeeper on the estate of Sir John Dorington. His wife's name was Sarah (Mitchell from Cowley) and they had five children born in the District of Bisley named Florence, Thomas Edward, Allen, Lillian and Laura. Hi there, I am trying to help a fellow searcher find his family of Davis from the Bisley area. He is searching for anybody related to William & Esther Davies c1811 who had a son Theyer Spring Davis b1836. Theyer married Mary Ann and had 13 children of which Rosanna Davis was one of b1866. They are found on the 1881 census living at Bidcombe Farm Bisley but Rosanna is no longer mentioned. She would have been 15 at the time. None of the children are found on the 1871 census at all.
