william and eliza bellamy farm at elton tything - (Elton - Gloucestershire)
1851 census has my 3times grandfather at the above address with his daughter Martha aged 4yrs. She later had my 2times great grandmother in westbury on severn union workhouse in 1867.Her illigitamate daughter went at the age of three to Longhope and was looked after by Richard and Eliza Preddith and Elizabeth Hale. If anyone has any connection and could help me to confirm these facts I would be grateful. She later married in Bradford her first husband Henry Stephens from Chelternham.

Looking for information on Eva Louisa Williams born 28th September 1907 in Birmingham but was baptised in June 1913 In English Bicknor church. She was brough up around the forest of dean area but ran away from home when she was 15/16/17 because she was pregnant and no one ever saw her again. Some people say she went to London on a train but nothing was ever heard of her. If anyone has information on this lady it would be very much appreciated. Her mothers name is mary ann williams and fathers name George Christopher Williams.

I am looking for information on my Grandmothers side of the family. Her name was Beatrice Ivy Hopkins and her parents were William and Jessy Hopkins. Looking for the Miles family - (Fairford - Gloucestershire)
Am looking for information on the family of Robert Seaborn Miles. He was born in 1795 in Fairford, son of John Miles an "Inn Holder" in Fairford who married his wife Edith Seaborne in Cam in 1794. Robert joined the Hudson Bay Company in 1818 and remained in their service rising to the position of Chief Factor before retiring to Brockville, Ontario, Canada in 1861, where he died in 1870. In 1822, he cotntracted a "country marriage" with a Metis woman, Maria Simpson, who had been the "country wife" of HBC Governor Sir George Simpson. The marriage was formalized by priest in 1840. They had 9 children.
1. Can anyone help with info on his parents or siblings?
2. In 1851, he sent two of his daughters, Elizabeth (age 13) and Ann (age 12), back to Fairford to be educated by Jane Iles, whose school was at 45 High Street in Fairford. Can anyone help about this school?

Does anyone have information on William Sims who was born in 1814, married Mary Wheeler in 1833, and died in 1842 ? Am looking for information about employees at Hatherop Castle in the 1870s. My gt gt grandmother Catherine Peer was in service there during that period; she married Edwin Richards in 1875 and I assume left her employment around that time. They had three daughters: Fanny (1876-1881), Alice (b.1877) and Lilian (1886-1973). Fanny's full name was Fanny Edith Silk Richards; the 'Silk' is apparently given for a Mrs Silk who was in service at Hatherop at the same time as Catherine (from the census I have the name Caroline Silk, of Fairford) - I would also like to contact members of the Silk family and find out more

Looking for Thomas Simpson(1651), Henry Simpson(1672-1756), John Simspon(1705-1781), Thomas Simspon(1736) Thomas Simpson(1777-1864) married to Elizabeth Bowles, James Simpson(1820)- moved to London where he married Charlotte Smith, , James Simpson who married Esther Crabbe also from Gloucestershire area. Caldicott Family - (Fairford - Gloucestershire)
I am researching the siblings of my grandmother Agnes Rose Caldicott b Fairford 1st August 1883. So far I'm doing OK but having trouble with her brother Charles Henry Caldicott (known as Henry and Harry) b 15th April 1877 in Lechlade. He seems to disappear from view after the 1901 census.

Gloucester. (Sherborne is 3 miles from Farmington)

Later generations migrated to South Australia in 1850.
Later villages connected with the family include: Naunton, Cold Aston, Turkdean, Bourton on the Water, Cold Aston, Hazelton.

Jack and Floss Daffurn of Fiddington - (Fiddington - Gloucestershire)
My uncle Jack lived at Fiddington farm for many years before selling in the seventies.One of three farms in the hamlet,these properties were formerley part of the Tewkesbury abbey estate and provided dairy produce for the Abbey.The lane alongside is still called monks lane.
The lands were confiscated by Henry v111 in about 1540 during the dissolution and at least one farm was given to his pals.
Jack,Floss and their daughter Joan have now sadly passed on.I would be glad to hear from anyone with any more history.

my great grandfather William Roberts owned fiddington farm in the 1900's and lived there with his wife Ellen Laura and their children Dorothy, Phylis, Alec, Wilfred and Aurlene. after William died in 1931, Alec (my gramp) sold Fiddington Farm to Jack daffern and his wife. Alec and Wilfred then moved to Bradleys Farm in Shuthonger.

I am desperately tring to find out where my Great Great Grandfather and Mother are buried in Bristol or Fishponds. His name was Henry Richard Gagg and was born in 1877 died 1944, he married Emily Maud Jefferies, born 1877 and died 1940, they had 2 children Rosina Emily Gagg and Henry Alfred Gagg. Rosina married Thomas Stewart Pettit and migrated to Australia, Harry went to Australia also. Rosina was on the stage and her stage name was Peggy Berte, this was where she met her Australian soldier from World War 1 and married him. My Great Great Grandparents lived in Grove Park Terrace Fishponds. Can anyone please help me as I am coming to England next year and would finally like to where they are buried.
