I'm looking for any info on Mr and Mrs. Davis (helpfuuly maybe John And Mary!) said to have been employed on the Kings Weston estate in the first half of the 1800's, he as an agricultural worker and later as head cowman. A daughter Fanny was born c. 1841 and she later was employed as a domestic in the main house. She disappears and alter turns up in Gloucester with a daughter but no record of a father. A mention of a father appears on the daughter's eventual marriage certificate as Edward Davis, Chemist, deceased. The daughter, my great, great grandmother was named Annie Louisa though there is no b.c to that effect. She became Annie Louisa Norman in1889.Fanny's death in 1926 yielded a birth certificate (it was said) stating saying she was the widow of an Edward Davis, but no evidence can be found. She also had three other chidren, all apparently without the aid of a father(!), Tom b. 1875,Richard b. 1878 and Edith b. 1882.Can anyone assist?

DAVIS descendants sought - Leonard Stanley
In suburban bayside Melbourne, Australia, I am seeking data about descendants of Leonard Stanley's Thomas Davis, husband to Joan Penny. Thomas must have been baptised in the 1680s as son of another Thomas who was the son of Walter Davis and his wifeElizabeth Levot. That Walter was the son of Richard Davis, I believe. Thomas and Joan had a daughter Hannah, bpt. 13-8-1707 Leonard Stanley who died after 1753 probably in King's Stanley where she may have remarried as a widow. Hannah's first husband/or only husband was Samuel Walkley ( bpt. 26-6-1706 King's Stanley-d.bef.1752 prob. King's Stanley )who she married in King's Stanley 26-7-1735. Hannah and Samuel are my 6xgreat grandparents and I'm surnamed Walkley. I'd appreciate tying in to other living relatives' lines and clarifying the tree of this common surname. Cheers!
