Ann Wood born c1790 Dursley
- Dursley
Seeking information on Ann Wood born about 1790 in Dursley. She married Henry Phipps 6 June 1811 in Bristol & died in Birmingham 1879. According to the 1841 census, her father was Thomas Wood born c 1760: he died 9 June 1850. (Ann is not at home in the census but with her brother, James Wood born 1799.)
I've found info on Thomas married to Betty Hitchins with several children - but not Ann. I'm pretty sure he is Ann's father as his death was certified by Amelia Phipps, wife of Henry & Ann's son, Henry.
If anyone can shed any light on Ann, I'd be very grateful!

Dymock linked to Depnock (or Depmock)
- Dymock
Trying to find out if a place named Depnock (or Depmock) is referring to Dymock, Gloucester. The only reference found for Depnock refers to a Roman road in Gloucester - "Lintridge near Depnock." There are numerous references to Dymock in that same source which implies that Depnock is a distinct place but I've also seen a location named Lintridge very close to Dymock. Looking for the birthplace of William or Thomas Norris later of Barnsley in late 1500's. Any help is greatly appreciated.
