Looking for the marriage apx.1810/15 of Robert Pick (b.1783 Cromhall) and Hannah Unknown (b.1775/80 Wanswell, Glos. died 1866 Thornbury) Not sure if there is a church in Wanswell, but unable to find a marriage register for Wanswell. Clutterbuck Family - Deerhurst
Stephen CLUTTERBUCK and Elizabeth HOBBS married in Hasfield in Nov 1784 had their family in Hasfield/Ashleworth during 1785-1810. One son, James, married (? SURMAN) in Gloucester in Aug 1816 and settled in Deerhurst/Apperley parishes. I am a descendant of William, brother to James (they had a double wedding), who started a 'dynasty' of blacksmiths in Northwood Green (Westbury on Severn) from about 1814 until 1900. My direct ancestor James migrated to New Zealand in 1878. His father and grandfather were both William and both married a BALDWIN woman.

John PORTER, my probable Gx3 Grandfather, the son of John and Elizabeth Porter, was baptised, on 4 March 1787, at DIDBROOK Parish Church, Gloucestershire. A John Porter married my Gx3 Grandmother, Sarah HUMPHRIS, on 19 December 1829, also at DIDBROOKParish Church. Sarah Humphris was probably the (Spurious) daughter of Ann Humpris and was baptised, on 23 October 1803, at St. Peters Parish Church, WITHINGTON, Gloucestershire. I would be interested in the Descendants and Ancestors of any of thesepeople.

Ann, Anne or Anna Higford was born in 1719, the daughter of James Higford and Margaret. She married Francis Davis (or Davies) and their son, James Davies of Chepstow was born about 1744. I am looking for any connection with John Higford of Dixton, who married Frances Scudamore, daughter of Hon.James Scudamore (1624-1668).

Slade - Dodington
I'm looking for any information on William Slade born in the Dodington, Gloucestershire area 29 May 1788. His parents were John Slade b. abt 1762 and Mary Tiller b. abt 1766. Don't know if there were any siblings for William. He married Mary Williams born in Wales abt 1798. William and Mary may have spent some time in Wales. They eventually moved to Lancashire and then emigrated to Canada in the late 1830s/early 1840s. Any help appreciated! Thank you.

Richard James b: Q1 1759 - Donnington
Richard James (b: Donnington 1959, bap: 25 Mar 1759) was my G x 3 Grandfather. He was born in Donnington in abt1759. He married Elizabeth. The had known children John (b:1795), George (b: 18 Feb 1798abt, my Gx2 Grandfather) and William (b: 1817-1821), the first two at least while still in Donnington/Stow. By 1841 they had moved to Okehampton, where Richard eventually retired and died. He was described as a 'Drainer' or 'Land Drainer' in later censuses. Richard's parents may have been William and Mary James of Donnington. Any further information would be welcomed.

William PAGE married Catherine BURGE in Down Ampney on 24.1.1764. One of their children, Richard Page, married Mary (surname and date unknown). They had four children, all baptised at Down Ampney: Sarah or Louisa Page (6.6.1790); Thomas Page (21.5.1795); John Page (20.11.1797); & Frances Page (29.9.1800). Sarah/Louisa Page had a base child, Thomas Thorn Page baptised in Down Ampney on 17.3.1822. She died in Ireland on 12.11.1860. Thomas Page died 4.3.1818 & is buried in Ealing Churchyard, Middlesex. John Page married Mary Ann Fisher (baptised in Hatherop, Gloucestershire on 25.6.1809) in Quenington on 24.1.1828. John died 7.9.1869 at Cirencester & was buried 11.9.1869 in Down Ampney. Mary Ann Page (nee Fisher) died on 10.2.1904 in Wimbledon. They had eleven children: Mary Ann Page; Maria Page; Elizabeth Page (12.2.1832); Richard Page (17.10.1833); Frances Page (1835); Mary Laura Page (1839); Eliza Beth Page (1842); Richard Thomas Page (1844); Emma Page (1846); William Page (1851); & John George Page 1854). Frances Page(b.1800) married George Dowden & she died on 21.6.1861. I am descended from John Page and Mary Ann Fisher through their 4th child, Richard Page, who married Esther Brown on 4.5.1858 in Cheltenham. I am looking for any info, particularly on Catherine Burge, her husband William and their son Richard & his wife. I'd be happy to share/receive any info. Thanks.

I am trying to find details of Heorge Robert Handy who married Elizabeth Hobbs in Cheltenham in 1884. He was born as far as I am aware in Upton on Severn 1863 but I can trace no record of this. This info was from the 1901 census. According to his marriage certificate his Fathe was Frederick, although I have yet to prove this. Desperate to find his birth can anyone help.

Ann already had a son, Isaac Josiah THOMAS (b. 1838) - this may have been William's son or from a previous marriage (or no marriage!!). William & Ann then had sons - Devereux (c.1844), Alvin (c.1847), Henry (c.1855), Orlando (c.1865) and daughters - Celia (c.1841), Sarah (c.1857), Tana (c.1859) & Mina or Minna (c.1863). Devereux was my g-grandfather and he later movedto Cardiff. By 1871, Isaac, Celia, Devereux & Alvin had left home and by 1881, only Orlando remained at home, by which time they had moved to Bagendon.
