Phillimore - Coaley - Coaley
I am a direct descendent of John Phillimore who was born in Coaley probably between 1816 and 1820. John was an agricultural worker and I know what happened to him after his marriage to Hannah Bennett in 1839 at Kings Stanley church.
What I am having difficulty with is his origin. On his marriage certificate his father's name is given as George Phillimore but I can only find Georges from Slimbridge and there are two possibles.
I would be grateful for anyone who has information on John to let me know. I think what must have happened is that he went to work in Kings Stanley at a fairly early age and so is missing from Coaley records.
