I am looking for siblings of Henry Williams (born in Dursley 1820. Henry married Charlotte Porter and at the time of emigrating to New Zealand was living in Coleford as a shoemaker. Census info says they were both born locally but no record of their birth or marriage so far, still searching. Irish connection? My 2x gt grandmother was born at the Swan Inn in Long Lane Corse and Staunton in 1856. Her mother Elizabeth Whitehouse , her father John Bentley, and perhaps Elizabeth's brother William had children there over four or five years in the mid 1850s. They were travellers. William was to settle in his home town of Longton Staffordshire, and Elizabeth to marry Isaac Bentley and travel to Walsall, but for a while the families were passing through Corse on the way to markets presumably Ledbury and Tewkesbury. Does anyone know anything about such travels or the Swan Inn at this time?
