My Grandmother, Louisa (Trotman) Werrett, wife of Stephen Charles Werrett, died in childbirth in 1915 at Spring Cottage, Overseal, Derbyshire. There are no records of her being buried in that area and, as my Gt Grandmother - Emma (Marklove) Werrett, brought my twin aunts back to Charfield to be brought up by her, I wonder if my grandmother was brought back too? This is the earliest date that I can find for the family name and it relates to the Christening of his son Ralph. Is there anyone out there who has knowledge of the village at this time? I doubt it but it is worth a try. There is no mention of the name in VCH but the family does get a mention for Clanfield in VCH at around this period and a few generations later. Also spelt Spyrwynke in 1557
