Hi! My name is David. I'm a born and bred Yorkshire lad but my family roots is from Hadstock, some 5 generations ago. So I would imagine that anyone with links to the Free name will be related to myself as there were a quite a few families of this name in the early 1800s. I am informed that some of my relatives do live in Australia, but some should still be residing here in the UK, surely.

Burgesses of Hadstock
- Hadstock
Hi, we are researching my fiance's family who lived in Hadstock in the late 1800's (and who knows, some still may). We visited the church last spring and found the graves of Salome Burgess (d. 1975) and Ursula Ferrand (d. 1953) who we know were sisters, and inscribed on the War Memorial are two of their brothers, Bennet Leopold & George Edward Lewis Burgess. From research so far we believe there are connections to the Bush and Fordham families also from the area. We would be grateful for any information to assist us in putting a few more leaves on our tree. Many thanks
