I am trying to find details of ggg.grandfather John Evans. Can only find him on 1841,1851 and 1861 census when he was a Tailor in Middlesex/London born in Colchester about 1808 Father a Clerk also John Evans. Not much to go on cannot find when he died but know he married Ann Holland in 1837 in St. George in the East and had quite a few children many died young as did his wife. Any help appreciated.

He married my GG Grandmother Elizabeth Crow 1865 Maitland NSW Australia. Wedding Certificate says he was a widower when he married Elizabeth. I do not have any info on a wife before Elizabeth but assume he married in England before coming to Australia. Death Certificate says he was in NSW Australia 28 years at time of death so it is assumed he came to Australia ca 1848. Looking for any connections out there.
