KIDD, PLANK family of Custom House, West Ham - Custom House
Richard William Kidd b1869 in Middlesborough and Eliza Plank b.1870 in Bristol. Richard Wm and Eliza had children Charles James Kidd b.1891 in Thornaby-On-Tees, Yorkshire. Richard W. b.1893 in Thornaby-On-Tees. They then moved to Custom House and had - Ethel b.1894, Florence b.1897, Albert b.1900, Alice b.1902, Arthur b.1904 and John William Plank Kidd b.1906(my grandfather). The family lived in Cundy Road, Alwick Road and Randolph Road. any information on any of this family would be gratefully received.

John Sidney Birch - Dagenham
John, or Jack as he was known, was born 26 July 1902 in Great Lever, Lancs. He was the son of William and Amelia Birch. They had a pub, The Rose & Crown, in Glossop, Derbyshire from 1905. William died 1918, Amelia ran the pub next 4 yrs. She died at her son's house, 319 Gorse Way, Romford in 1946. Anyone know anything about Jack and what happened to him? He also had a brother Richard Stanley Birch, born 1898.

REVELEY, JEFFERY - Dagenham
Searching for information on Alfred William REVELEY, b. about 1873 in Bethnal Green, and his parents, William REVELEY (only known info is that he was a labourer) and Mary Agnes RENHAM, born about 1850 in Clerkenwell, London and later remarried to Samuel George SUMMERS and moved to Romford/Dagenham. Alfred William REVELEY married Elizabeth HOPE in 1897. They had five children: Agnes, John, Arthur, David and Moses. Alfred left Elizabeth and went to Wales. Much later in life he remarried - to Maria JEFFERY. They both died in Wales in 1957 and 1961. Maria had two children already, with the surname KING and JEFFERY, whom Alfred adopted. A third child, Ivy (who may or may not have been Alfred's, so may have been JEFFERY or REVELEY) later married a GIBSON, lived in the North East and was the notifier on Alfred's death certificate.

Can anybody give me any information about my father, Stanley Robert Gillis, who worked at Briggs' during WW2 ? He continued to work at the plant, (then Ford's) after the war, until he retired about 1974. He was a welder in Jigs and Fixtures Dept for more than 20 years, and was known always as 'Bob'. He died in 2002 aged 91.

I have traced my convict ancestor to Debden but am unsure whether this is the village or the parish. The convict was GEORGE COWELL, born about 1815, and his parents were GEORGE COWELLand MARY ANN.COWELL. I know there were Cowells in nearby SAFFRON WALDEN and it is possible that they came from there. Johnson Debden Newport Thaxted - Debden
Gr gr grandfather John Johnson was born at Debden circa 1799 acc to census. He married Ruth Downham from Sewards End, Saffron Walden and later farmed at Gaces Farm, Newport. Their children were 'named' at Bailey's Lane Baptist Chapel in Saffron Walden. A John Johnson (1) farmed at Gaces Farm, Newport, before John (2), who was born c.1799. Some siblings of John (1) were a brother Thomas, a sister Elizabeth, who I believe married a James Wright at Thaxted in 1803 and a sister Mary, who I believe married a Samuel Bass at Thaxted in 1800. The Johnsons were non conformists. Would be grateful for any help, especially before 1800 and also contact with any fellow descendants.

Any one with contacts to the Debden or Henham Mansfields. Related to James Mansfield buried in Debden church. To the left of the church down the slope, visited the grave on saturday 18th august 2007, trying to find Moses, unlucky with that, but did find James.

I am looking for siblings and their descendants of my great-grandfather,George Seden, who was born in Dedham on 5th July 1849.His father was John Seden, an agricultural labourer and gardener and his mother was Sarah Ann - formerly Sadler.
