My Aunt Dorothy (nee Herd), who was born in Margate,Kent, married David Smith , born in Yorkshire,in 1972,at Colchester register offfice. They worked for Butlins Holiday Camp in Clacton, at the time of there marriage, and lived in Clacton during there married life. David, went on to work for the railways, untill he reitired. They married late in life, my Aunt was in her 40's, so there were no children, David died in 2002, my Aunt Dorothy, I understand, died some time before him,but I don't know when? I only remember my Aunt from when I was very young and my mum lost contact with her sister for some years. If anyone new them or can throw any light on ther life togehter, I would be pleased to here

Sell Family - Clavering
Looking for relatives of the Sell family from Clavering Essex. My Mothers side of the Family are Sells, My Grandfather was Charlie Sell and married a Wyburn. I believe the Wyburns were a large farming family from the Berdon/Little London area. Charlie and grandmother lived for a while at Sunny Hill Buntingford. He was a Builder in the Buntingford area, served as a sapper during WW1, he died as a result of mustard gas poisoning sometime after WW1, possibly in the 1930's. He had three daughters and two sons, Sylvia, Stanley, Geoffrey (died 1937), Ivy, and Kathleen.

James' father was William Kemp b. 1818 and his mother was Hannah Chipperfield b. 1822. James had a sister Lucy and a brother William who played for the cricket team. Abraham moved into the area from Feering around 1812/1815. i am descended via his son Thomas Potter, born Gt Coggeshall 1831.
