Is there anyone out there with any connection or information on MACKNEY family. Mary MACKNEY married William BARTON in 1829. Thomas MACKNEY married Jane BARTON in 1825. Both marriages took place at Woodford. The families lived Chigwell/Woodford/Woodford Bridge. John Blair - Chigwell
I am looking for any information on John Blair. I believe he was born in Scotland and somehow ended up in Chigwell. Aparently he served in the Boer War, he married Eliza Flack in 1905 and had a daughter Jessie Louisa Blair in 1905. He worked as an Asylum Attendant at Claybury Mental Hospital and lived in Manor cottages and Henwood Side. He died in the 1930s. Can anyone give me any further information.

I am seeking to locate the position of, or find any information at all on Chingford Hall Farm, where my GGGG Grandfather Jeremiah Humphreys (born circa 1791) was a farmer of some 450 acres. He lived at the farm, together with his wife Jane nee Barnet/Barnard, and subsequently his son James (born circa 1819), who seems to have taken over the farm after 1855 and still farmed the land in 1871, plus other son Edward born circa 1826 and his daughter Elizabeth born circa 1821. George and Mary Ann Foster b 1840 and 1849 respectively and with eventually eleven children, moved to Chingford in c1881 after George retired from the RMLI following 21 years service. In 1901 they lived at 2 Queens Terrace, Chingford and George was described as a "Constable, Central Marker(t)". I suspected, as he was a horseman that he was a Ranger in Epping Forest but this is just a guess.
