Smith, Richards, Ledbroke, Cross, Thomson, Miller - Colchester
can anyone uncover these two most elusive ladies for me? both are multi-great grandmother's of mine. Hannah SMITH Birth: 12 DEC 1785 in ,England Death: 30 AUG 1874 in Navarre,Stark,Ohio. on her marriage record, she is listed as Hannah Smith. in family papers written by a grand daughter of hers I have seen her listed as Hannah Thomson and in a cameo on a son-in-law as Hannah Miller. she seems to have no death certificate. I have yet to find her under ANY of these surnames. there is an Anna Smith baptised in Colchester that might be her, but I can't prove or disprove it. I also cannot find Hannah's mother-in-law. Elizabeth RICHARDS Birth: ABT 1760 in ,England Died: after 1803 in ,England there is a very intriguing situation in the Colchester Wesleyan Methodist records that I haven't been able to get very far with. listed right next to Hannah's children is the baptism of a child of Hezekiah Richards. Elizabeth named one of her children Hezekiah Richards Cross. was Hezekiah a brother or an uncle? who were his parents? he married Elizabeth Ledbroke. can anyone help tie this group together and break down my Smith and Richards brick walls?
