She married John Blair in 1905 and had a daughter Jessie Louisa Blair in 1905 and they lived at 10 Henside Wood, Chigwell/ Woodford Bridge. Her marriage certificate shows her residence as Silver street, Abridge but I cannot find her in 1901 census (several Elizas but not of the right age according to her birth certificate. Her marriage certificate shows Richard Flack (drain pipe maker) as her father. I know from my mother that her mum lived in Adbridge and apparently dieid following a fall down the stone stairs and broke her hip when she was 90+ years old and they could not fix it. Her husband John died during the 1930's and she went on to marry Jack Hopper. Can anyone help with information on the family?

The Wedlock family lived in the village since (as far as we know) late 1700's. They are in 1841 and 1851 Census. We believe they lived at a Cottage named "Thatches". In 1855 Henry Wedlock married at St Mary's Anne Judd of Clavering. They then migrated to Australia on board "Euphrates", with lots of other people from Arkesden, including Wedlocks, Judds, Jeffereys, Baines. Does anyone know of these families. Thank you, Gayle

Wisbey family - (Arkesden - Essex)
My great-great-great grandfather was John Wisbey. He was an agricultural labourer in Arkesden. He was born around 1800 and married Ann Negus in the Arkesden parish church on 9th April 1831, he lived in Arkesden up until his death at the age of 77. I know that John and Ann had several children. Richard, one of their eldest sons moved to Wickham Bonhunt and raised his family there. Samuel, I believe was the youngest son, moved to Derbyshire to work in the mines. My great-great grandmother Mary Ann(born 1848) was one of the siblings who moved to London to work in service, she married and raised her family in Hackney. I have managed to trace Ann's family back a while but have come up against a brick wall where John is concerned. I would love to hear from anyone who thinks they may be related or knows more about John.
