Edward Cranson or Cranston
- Bowburn
Looking for information about Edward Cranson or Cranston, who was born in Sedgefield registry district in 1908 and died as a result of an accident at Bowburn Colliery, near Durham, on 6/11/1923.
His birth and death were registered as Edward Crason (no 't') but local newspaper report and Durham Miners Association record of his death give name as Cranston (with a 't'). Correct spelling urgently wanted for memorial to men and boys who were killed at the colliery.
His body was identified by Kate Norfolk, "married woman", of Church Street, Coxhoe - the same street as Edward lived in - but I do not know if she was related.
