Johnson letter. - New Herrington
Looking for a Johnson family that lived at 47 Fenton (Terrace or Lane), New Herrington, Fence Houses, Durham. All I know about them is that the mother signed her name G. Johnson when she wrote to my grandmother about my grandfather. Her son and my grandfather recuperated at the same hospital and he stayed with the Johnson family. Their son and my grandfather even travelled to London together near the end of 1918. I have a letter that that this branch of the Johnson family might like a copy of this letter dated 2. 12. 18.

And another son Charles Edward born 6/12/1847, he did not migrate with family so I assume he died as a child. Then they migrated to Australia in 1848. Sarah or Celia Middlestaff married William Snowden and in 1863 gave birth to William Henry Snowden in London, Eng (Saint George in the East, St. Paul, County of Middlesex). At some point after this the family immigrated to Canada where in 1870 a daughter was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
