Laverick- Unthank - Monkwearmouth
I am researching the Laverick - Unthank family connections. Thomas Laverick married Sarah Unthank (parents unknown)at Monkwearmouth 23 February 1807. My g.g.grandfather John Laverick married Mary Gray at the Union Chapel in Deptford Bishopwearmouth March 1850. In the 1851 Census John is listed as being born in Monkwearmouth c. 1825 with Thomas as his father. As Thomas and Sarah's marriage is the only Laverick marriage I have found for Monkwearmouth I have reason to believe they are John's parents. Both John and Thomas are listed as shipwrights on John's marriage certificate. To date I have not found any siblings belonging to this Laverick family. Any help will be very much appreciated.

OVINGTON / PRINGLE in MONKWEARMOUTH - Monkwearmouth
I'm looking for information on these families in the period 1820s onwards. Starting with William Ovington born about 1846, and then working backwards in time: William married Elizabeth Cook and their family included William b. about 1882 and John (my grandfather) b. 1885. The parents of William included Isabella (Pringle?) who was widowed by the time of the 1851 Census. Her children then included Ralph (b. 1849), William (b.1846, my g-grandfather) and Sarah (b. about 1844). Isabella, then aged 28, was 'living at her parents expense' on the census, at Southwick Row. Just nearby is Southwick Lane where I believe her parents William (ages 59) and Mary Pringle (aged 55) lived at the time of the 1851 Census. This is based on looking for marriages for Isabella before the birth of her eldest - there was only one likely candidate, John Ovington married Isabella Pringle in 1843. Hence the 'yet to be proven' links to the William Pringle family.
