Any information on the Kelly and Young families circa 1900 or just before this period.My Grandfather Thomas Kelly Born 1900,had 2 sisters that I know of one of similiar age one a lot younger{named Ria and Emily respectively married names unknown) and at least one older brother.My grandfather married Ada Young around 1920 as far as I know she had siblings.After marriage they resided in the Jesmond Road area'until their respective deaths 1967, 1974.Any connections information on either of these families much appreciated.

Robert married Isabella Jackson (born abt 1825 Alnwick, Northumberland, England Daughter of Peter Jackson and Ann Bambra) 4 Nov 1848 All Saints, Newcastle On Tyne, England. On the marriage certificate Roberts’s father is listed as Robert, deceased at time of marriage. Robert and Isabella had two children, Eleanor born 1849 Alnwick and a son John born 1850 Park House Morpeth Castle Northumberland, England. In the early 1850s they migrated to Australia and purchased farming property in Victoria and called it Kelloe Hill."

Does anyone happen to have the 1841 census for Chapman Street, Hartlepool please? I am looking for John Bavidge and his family. One of his sons was born in Hartlepool in 1839. John Bavidge served on a ship called The Forster in 1841. The ship was constructed in Sunderland in 1833 and registered in Hartlepool. It was owned by the Hartlepool Original Shipping Company. If anyone can tell me anything about this ship I would be most grateful. John Bavidge almost died when he was involved in rescuing some Greek seamen near Odessa in 1841 (possibly January). I am wondering if the local paper would have a report about the incident. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Angela

Hi I am reasearching my granmother Margaret Lillian Wales family tree. She was born in 1910 and died 1985. Her father was George Alfred Wales, born 1880 He was a butcher and manager of Wileys butchers in Raby Road. He had 10 sibblings and moved to Hartlepool with his parents btw 1896 and 1901 from Whenby in north Yorkshire. Lived in Eton street in the 1901 census Her mother, Margaret Burke was born in Hartlepoool in 1876, lived in temperence street in 1881 census and Brougham street in 1901 census. She had brothers William, Palmer, and John and sisters catherine and Mary. Think there is a good chance there is someof their descendents still living in Hartlepool! would be grateful for any info regarding these families!

Mary Ann Harrington m. Robert Higgs in 1838 at Kidderminster, Worcs. As a widow she and her sons Roland (1841) Robert (1842) George (1846) John (1852) and Frederick (1855) all moved to Hartlepool. Looking for info on John Kebell, originally of London, and Ann Hannah Walton of Haswell, Co. Durham. They were married approx. 1901 in London where Ann was working as a domestic and moved back to Haswell (at least one of their children was born at 5 Alexander Terrace). John was a boot and shoemaker by trade. I have much info about John but none about Ann or her parents or siblings. Ann was born in 1881. They had five children; Edith, Mary, Henrietta "May", George and Harold.

I am trying to find information on Robert Hall born 5.4.1902 in the St.Pauls area of Jarrow. He joined the R.A.F. in 1922 and stayed till 1929. He re-joined in 1939 to 1945. In 1942 he married Kathleen Tyler/Underwood. His address is given as 56 Jutland Ave Hebburn which is the same as the address on his discharge from the R.A.F. Any information on him or his family would be appreciated as I have no further information after 1945. Thanks

Isaac Laws died for his country. - Hebburn Colliery
Isaac lived in Elm Street Hebburn & after being a colliery worker became a soldier in the Tyneside Scottish. He was killed on 1st July 1916 on the Somme in the disastrous offensive. He left a widow, Sarah and three children Billy, Hilda and Bob. Sarah married again a Belgian Merchant navy sailor name Oscar De Smet.
