I have a copy of a marriage by Banns for Anthony (Ralph) Blackett Charlton and Mary Ann Bainbridge dated Sept 30, 1844 in the parish of Whickham in the County of Durham. Fathers names are Edward Charlton (Sailor) and John Bainbridge (Keelman). Harry and Jane Bainbridge were the witnesses. I have since found that Edward married Elizabeth Blackett in 1810. Anthony had a son Edward (born 1852 in Gateshead, Whickham, Durham) who sailed to Canada shortly after his marriage to Mary Scafe Thirlaway in (1875). Willim James Graham

I am looking for any info on William James Graham family, he was born c1900. He married a Margaret Muriel Smith in 1925 at Gateshead reg office and died in 1951 in Leeds. He had a son Kenneth Graham born in Simonside Lodge and I believe this is in the Jarrow area. At the time of their marriage William James was living at 23 Windermere Street, Gateshead and Margaret (known as Madge) at 34 Park Avenue, Whitley Bay. Williams father was William John Graham and in 1925 he was a funeral furnisher and it has been said that he bought Simonside Hall, wether this is true I don't know. Any info on these Grahams would be appreciated.

I am researching my great grandfather Arthur Robson, who was married to Sarah Maughan. They lived at 7 Liddell Terrace Gateshead, and he died at that address in 1864. Sarah then emigrated to Australia with her children. Arthur's parents were James Robson and Susannah (nee Gray). I believe James was born in Scotland,around 1786 as per a census report in 1841. He was a Ships Broker, and he and Susannah were married 1810 in Kirklinton, Cumberland. Any information would be appreciated.
