Ashcroft and we believe had girls Kate and Adeline maybe born around 1914. Elizabeth then married a Francis mcGurk in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1918 and they had twin boys, Kenneth and Clive in 1922. Around 1927, Elizabeth and Francis split, Francis taking boys to live with him elsewhere and Elizabeth and girls apparently stayed living in Newcastle Upon Tyne somewhere. I'm looking for information about Thomas Thompson born 17/10/1845 in the village of Whitewell, Parish of Kelloe, County Durham. His father was Thomas Thompson born circa 1800, and his mother was Sarah Fairless.Thomas (of Whitewell) married twice, firstly Isabella Irwin, and then Eleanor Francis Wade. There was one child by the first marriage, and eight by the second. Thomas died 06/04/1910. He was a mining enginner. The family had connections with a mineral water company in Gateshead, and owned houses in Gateshead, which were rented out.They also were members of a Primative Methodist Chapel in Gateshead, where I believe Thomas played the organ. Looking for information on my great grandfather Andrew Searle b c 1884 married Margaret Bryce Richardson b 23Apr 1901. They married c 1919 and had 6 children: Isabella, Margaret, Muriel, Ann, Audrey & James. Andrew was a piper with the Northumberland Fusiliers during WW1. Later became a dock labourer. Andrew died in March of 1949 at 160 Beverley Rd, UD of tuberculosis. The children were sent to Australia in 1932 to Fairbridge Farm Western Australia. Any information on Andrew or his ancestors greatly appreciated.

I believe the Millens were in Newcastle early 1800s, and then moved to Gateshead. Two Samuels cover the period 1820 to 1920 and John Isaac lived from 1879 to 1930. They were confectioners and had or were employed by a business in Oakwellgate, Gateshead at least until 1930. I have been told that their trademark was "Lucky Cross Sweets".

I'm looking for any information on Jane LOGAN who married Samuel POTTS in 1888. They lived in Gateshead but married in Newcastle. Jane, her mother, also Jane, and brother Martin, were all born in Ireland; possibly Rosscommon. Samuel worked as a ropemaker and Jane also worked at the ropery for some time. She also worked on a rabbit farm after marrying, according to the 1861 census.

He married a Mary Ann Robson in 1858 and worked as a Chain Maker. They lived in Hood or Wood Row in Elswick and then Dunn Street, Elswick, Newcastle Upon Tyne. I would like futher information regarding Isaacs parentage. I know his father was called Robert and he was a tailor, originally from Gateshead, however I'm unsure of Isaacs mother's name, it could have been Pheobe ??
