Harriet Clark - Felling
Harriet married Edward Elliot Armstrong at St Alban's church, Heworth on 17 April 1911 at the age of 23. She lived on Hewitson Crescent, Felling. Her father, James, was a coal-miner. I have been unable to find a birth certificate relating to her although I understand she was born in Felling. Was there a home for unmarried mothers in Felling in the late 1800s as I wonder if she was adopted by James. Can anyone please help? I've been able to trace the Armstrong side back to 1760 but I've hit a brick wall here!

Thomas Davison-update

Thomas' father was John. John's wife was Mary Ann Hedley married 11th May 1850 at the Durham & Lanchester registry office! Is this unusual for that time?

I am still trying to trace:
John's date of birth,
Thomas' date of birth and
Thomas' marriage to Flora.
