Francis Wilson (1791-1877)
- Durham
Francis Wilson was my 3X Gt Grandfather. He was born in Stranton (Hartlepool) in or about 1791 but at the time of his marriage to Ann Robson in Haughton Le Skerne in 1814 he was working as a draper in Durham. His premises were in the Market Square and the newly married couple must have lived there as their first child, Francis Robert Wilson was born there in 1815. (baptism record @ St Nicholas'). By 1819 they had moved to Darlington where he continued in business as a draper. I am particularly interested in any information about existing premises in Market Square which may have been associated with my 3X Gt Grandfather's business, documents or pictures. Charles
