Peter described elsewhere as 'schoolmaster and astronomer of Byculla, India' Family also noted at Yarm, Sunderland Bridge, Tudhoe, Fighting Cocks and Darlington. Two daughters not on this census, Adela then 19, who died in Hunstanton. Emma then 15/16, not traced. Any details of this family much appreciated.

His mother Margaret Mason (nee White) was born in Willington Quay about the same year. They married in 1894. Thomas's father Willam Mason was born in Durham in the 1850s and his wife Elizabeth Mason (nee Donaldson) was born in Sunderland. The Durham connection seems extensive and if anyone can shed any light on these connections and their forebears I would be pleased to hear about it.

I have a great grandmother Maria Errington Blacklock (Blacklock spelled many ways)born in Biddick, Durham about 1861 (can't positively find the birth) and she married my g-grandfather Thomas Glendinning on August 4, 1879 in Southwick, Durham. She died in Ryhope, (Sunderland) May 2, 1915. The only thing I can find out about her parentage is that her father, James, was a witness at her wedding and was a "gardener" at Carley Place, Southwick.
