Patrick McBride married Mary Lowery at St.Godrics in 1884. Their daughter, Mary Ellen McBride m. Patrick Sloan (my maternal grandparents). Mary Ellen appears on the 1891&1901 census in Framwellgate but I cannot find a record of her birth or her premature death in the 1918 flu epidemic. My grandfather, Sydney Hockaday, left Durham County in 1912. He came to the United States aboard a ship called the Campania. He was born in Easington in 1893. I am looking for his family. His father and mother were Henry and Jane Truscott Hockaday. Sydney's sibling, that I know of, are William H., John F. and Maud Hockaday. I think there are probably more siblings because there is about 12 years between Maud and Sydney. Are these names familiar to anyone in Durham County?
