John and Mary Wilkinson from Auckland Durham had a son John Gregory Wilkinson in Greatham Durham married Margaret Scott and had Robert Wilkinson born 1854 in Greatham married Elizabeth Maria Nixon in 1889. They lived in Cowpen Bewley with their four children: Olive born 1893, Norman 1895, Douglas 1899 and Horace 1906. Norman married Mary McGill Dec 31st 1919, they met at St Luke's Hospital where they were both psychiatric nurses. Does anyone have further info?

Does anyone know of a Robert Potts born 1874 in Kelloe and his wife Isabella Hall born 1876 in Burnhope. They lived in a miners home, row 115.
In the 1901 census they had a daughter Ellen and later had Phylis, David and Isabella.

Please can you help? I am looking for any information on the field family in Coxhoe. William Field born 1800 in Dewsbury had 3 sons, William b1821, Francis b1823 and George. They moved to Coxhoe abt 1838 and started a brickworks near Cow Close. William the son died quite young in 1866 & there was an inquest. Francis later moved to Brandon Colliery & his wife was Harriet Carr. Very grateful for any infomation. Many Thanks.

My gggrandfather lived here in the mid-1800's with his wife and 4 children. His name was William Oliver, b 1824. Wife's name: Ann Whitfield, b abt. 1826. Children: Sarah Ann, George, Robert, Anthony Whitfield Sr., b 1848. William and sons Georgeand Robert were coalminers. William died 1883, age 59, in Wheatbottom.

In 1851, My 4xgreat grandfather John Proud of Stanhope lived in White Lea cottages, Crook. Living with him were his son John who I believe married Eleanor Gibbon, his daughter Sarah and Sarah's son James (my 2xgreat grandfather). The family lived inShotley Bridge in 1841.
James was born in 1848 at Blackhill and married Barbara Jowcey/Joice of Newcastle in 1869 at Earsdon.
James and Barbara Proud lived at Bedlington 1871, Blyth 1876 and North Shields 1891-1900.
They then moved down to Gravesendin Kent c1901 and married into the Moor family of Hoo, St. Werburgh. The Moor family also lived in Poplar.
Elizabeth Patience Moor married John A T Proud (bn Cowpen Quay,Blyth 1876) in 1903. Elizabeth Moor was the daughter of Henry Moor and ElizabethPetts.

I am just starting on my family tree and have already hit a brickwall. My grandfather, Henry Gardner Brown was born in the church district of St Oswald Newcastle on 19th Feb 1908 to Henry Gardner Brown(senior) & Kathleen. Henry jnr later married my grandmother Mary Blake on 17th Feb 1934 at the Methodist Church in Felling(Heworth). She was born Mary Elizabeth on 2nd October 1912 @ 19 Hill Street, Newcastle to Edward & Annie Blake (formerly Collinson).They lived at 88 Pretoria Street, Newcastle. Henry & Mary moved to the South in the late 30's early 40's seeking work. They eventually settled in Cranfield Bedfordshire. I would appreciate any info on either of my grandparents. Apparantly my grandmother was taken into the care of 'Banardo's'when she was young, were you there with her????? Pls Pls help.
