Rolls - Child Okeford, Dorset
Looking for information about John Rolls b Child Okeford (I think) 1770 who married 25 January 1817 in Child Okeford Jane Goodfellow b Child Okeford 1796 illegitimate dau of Grace Goodfellow. In the parish register, it says John Rolls is of Sturminster Newton but I don't know if he was born there or living there at the time of his marriage. John is in the 1821 census of Marnhull as Baker. Jane and her family are in the 1841 census of Marnhull Dorset - occupation baker. Their second daughter Alicia was b 23 Dec 1820 in Marnhull. I think John must have died between 1844, when the last child was born, and the 1851 census as Jane is 'unmarried' in that.

Framptons of Corfe Castle - Corfe Castle, Dorset
Walter & Mary Frampton of Corfe had a son Walter born 1705, who on 14 Jul 1728 married Margaret Kent. She may have died and he remarried 24 Jun 1733 to Charity Jenkins in Kinson. Walter and Charity had a son Joseph born 23 Apr 1734 in Poole, St. James, who I believe may be my gggg-grandfather who came over to Newfoundland with a fishing fleet from Poole before 1760. Note: Walter may have also had a daughter named Rebecca. In a will dated 1742 Rebecca Brown devised that Rebecca Frampton, daughter of Walter Frampton of Poole, be cared for by Elizabeth Kent until she reached the age of 21. Curious!
