In 1854, he emigrated to Australia, paying for the passages of his wife, family and himself; they landed in Geelong, Victoria after an epic voyage, and many of his descendants still live thereabouts. Any information about the Ken(t)shole family in and around Bow would be most welcome; the additional "t" in the surname was common among those christened at Nymet Tracey, but not elsewhere, such as Sandford; however it is believed that they all belonged to the same family.
