Henry James emigrated to Australia in 1841 on the William Byrne with his 1st wife Harriet Floyd and their 3 children William, Charlotte and MaryAnn.

Looking to determine if parents married; or validate these long family lore rumors. Have document with incomplete information on Maria(dau.)death certificate USA; looking to get her father and mother's names correctly- and if other siblings came of this union. Richard Perrott married Sarah Penney in Berry Pomeroy on 31 December 1729. They had at least three children: John (b. 1731), Richard (b.1733), and Sarah (b. 1736). John married Christian Trist (from South Brent) and together they had seven children: Christian (b. 1760), Sarah (b. 1761), John (b. 1764), Mary (b. 1766), Betty (b. 1768), Richard (b. 1772), and Agnes (b. 1775). Richard was a cordwainer (shoemaker) in Bridgetown; he married Mary Ann Matthews (from Stoke Damerel) with whom he had nine children: Richard (b. 1803), John (b. 1804), Charles Lee (b. 1806), Jane (b. 1808), Thomas (b. 1811), William (b. 1814), Charles (b. 1816), James Gay (b. 1819), and Henry George (b. 1822). Charles Lee and Jane both died at a young age. John continued in his fathers trade as a shoemaker in Bridgetown and at the age of 50 married Jane Stevens from Cornwood. William became a tailor, also in Bridgetown, and married Jane Osborn(e), a local woman. Richard, Thomas, Charles, and Henry George all moved to London, although Charles later moved back to Devon, settling in Newton Abbot. Anyone having (or looking for) information about this family is asked to get in contact.
