I'm looking for the origins of Ellen Sarah Miller b. c1860. father said to have been Captain Miller who served in South Africa 1830's/1840's. Her mother was said to have come from a v.v. good family possibly tthe Coventry line and was, we think, christened Sarah. She was disinherited due to marrying contrary to family wishes as Capt. Miller's reputation as a soldier was said to have been characterised by some brutality. (family myth??) Any thoughts out there? Thanks. ps.
