Is anyone related to SYDNEY CHARLES F. CLARKE, born Pymouth 1870? He married Beatrice Mary Doble in 1893 at St. Marks, Plymouth. I believe he lived at 26 Peverell Park Road in 1906 and at 37 Kingsley Road in 1915. I know a lot about his ancestry. Would be interested in contact from any descendants.

Their children were Henry (c.1874) / Louisa (c.1875) / Emily (c. 1879) / Frances (c.1892). Louisa married GEORGE ADAMS and had a daughter EMILY ADAMS born 1900 and this family also livet the same address in 1901. Also, ROBERT SCAMMELL CLARKE married MARY JANE BOWDEN in 1897. Son born in 1900 was ROBERT OLDREY CLARKE. Famliy lived at 6 Queen Anne's Road, Plymouth, in 1901. If anyone is connected to these families, I can share much information about ancestry.

Hello, I'm looking for any information about Treskets in Plymouth. Henry Tresket (a mariner) married a Mary Ann Stockwell in Plymouth (St Andrews) in 1814 - but he may not have been a native of Plymouth They had a son Samuel in 1817 before moving to Sunderland where Henry died in 1837. There appear to be many spelling variations of the surname including Truscett and Treskett. Thanks.

Thaddeus Moynihan - Plymouth
Seeking information about Thaddeus John Moynihan, born Stoke Damerel (Devonport) 21 Jan 1889 to parents John and Ellen (formerly Foley or Quirk). He appears to have been registered as John Teddy Moynahan but subsequently adopted the forename Thaddeus. His parents were Irish Catholics from Cork. Does anyone have information about the family or Irish Catholic traditions that might explain this name-change? Could it be an adoption of a confirmation name or similar? His brother, Christopher James seems to have done something similar since in later life he was known as Cornelius - or just Neil! Greg

Trigger, Wood, Wescombe, Cottle - Plymouth
Searching for information on my great grandmother, Matilda Trigger,born about 1830 in Stoke Damerel, part of Plymouth. Married William Wood, born about 1826 in Stoke Gabriel, Devon. From 1861 census they lived at 4 Trafalgar Court, Devonport. Children were Mary, Charles, William, Matilda, Henrietta and James @ 1861, later added John,George (my grandfather) and Nathaniel, who were twins. Matilda was widowed and later married John Wescombe at least by 1881 census. Matilda died in 1908. William Wood son, born c.1854 served in British Navy, on "Devastation" and "Agamemnon" Brother George also served in British Navy then migrated to Australia prior to 1890. Sister Matilda married a Cottle. Any information on this family would be very welcome. Hard to search as I live in Australia. Thanks.

I have a ships log,kept by Samuel Robison,baptised 10/1/1782,son of James Robison and Charlotte Munro,who married at St Georges,East Stonehouse,Devon in 1778.Samuel served on many ships,including the Blanche at the 1801 Battle of Copenhagen.He spent 2 years in Verdun prison 1803-1805,before escaping.I believe he died in Portsmouth in 1809.Any Robisons descended from that area?

I am researching the Le Corney family who lived in East Stonehouse, Plymouth, Devon. Father was John Le Corney who was described as a pilot/kings pilot/French pilot at his children's baptisms. He married Ann Davey (b.1790 in Wales) on 7 December, 1815 at Stoke Damerel, Devon. One of his children - Hannah Lucy, b. 1822 was my great-grandmother. She married a William Parkins in East Stonehouse in 1842. His other children were Eliza Davy (b.1818), Harriot Jane (b.1820) Edward Henry (B.1923), Tho's Beveridge (b. 1825, Sarah (b. 1829). I am curious about the terms 'kings pilot and 'french' pilot. Could anyone help with those terms or indeed help with this family.
