Daymond/Dimond - Offwell
I am trying to find out about my GGG grandfather's ancestry. His name was Thomas Daymond and he married Mary Eveleigh in 1853 approx. According to census entries, Thomas was born in Offwell in 1824. I believe his parents were Joseph and Mary. However - a lot of research has led to confusion. There are records of a Thomas Daymond, son of Joseph and Mary, who was born in 1825 in Bovey Tracy. I do not think this is the same person. This person was the son of Mary Sercombe - for whom there is much information online. Some trees I have had access to have shown both Thomas's in the same family, as brothers. Since both survived to adulthood and had children, I think this is unlikely. If you can help in anyway, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you. Julie
