Looking for any information on my 11x Great Grandfather Thomas Harris and my Grandmother Charitie Cuddy. They were married in Frithelstock in Sept 1634. Jonas PARSONS born 1806, his wife Sarah, his mother Jane PARSONS born 1771, a pauper, and her daughter Jane PARSONS born 1811, also a pauper, are in the 1841 census at Frithelstock. The old lady is my great-great-great grandmother. The family member who is not present in 1841 census is Mary Jane PARSONS as she and her son, James A Baker left in 1838 for Canada. Mary Jane found her man, Philip Baker in East Nissouri Township, Oxford County, Ontario Canada and more children were born to them. They were pioneers in an area just opened for settlement.

Mary Ann Squire was charged with larceny of a purse containing 8 shillings and sixpence at Exeter County Sessions on July 2nd 1850. She was sentenced to seven years overseas. She arrived in Tasmania, Australia on the 26th January 1852 on the convict ship the Anna Maria 2. Her transport papers record her mother was named Mary and that her siblings were: brothers: William, John, Joseph and Joshua. Her sisters: Jane, Elizabeth, and Charlotte all living at the native place, Devonshire. Her death certificate states that she was born at Torrington,England and that her parents were Philip and Mary Squire. Other certificates state her birth place as Frithelstock. Whist in Tasmania she met and married a fellow convict Jonathan Harris from Sussex. Together they overcome many hardships and their death notices described them as being fine upstanding pioneers.Any information on Mary's earlier life in Devon would be much appreciated.

He was a Cordwainer in 1838, on his marriage to Susanna Adams WAISTCOAT... Malborough.
Her Father listed as David WAISTCOAT...(poss. WESTCOTT).
His Father, Thomas DAWE, was a Schoolmaster...on Marriage cert.
There is an 1851 census entry for a Thomas DAVID and family...Russell Street,Plymouth, St Andrew.
Need a look-up please to confirm whether the surname entered is DAVID, or DAWE.
