Susannah's first husband died, and after she moved to London, married my great grandfather Walter Edridge. John Reeves was the son of Samuel and Sarah Mardon.

John Elston married Susannah Rogers in 1771 in Crediton. He died in either 1786 or 1796. Susannah then married James Francis in 1804, a yeoman widower, also at Crediton under the name of Susanna Elstone. She made her mark and was listed as widow. Susannah moved to Hackney, Middlesex where she was buried in 1821. Susannah already had a child, James Rogers son of James Buller of Downes, who was born in October 1769 when she married John Elston. There were no other children. James Rogers called his first child, John Elston Rogers, born in 1795, after his step father. James Rogers' descendants can be found under Kensington or Knightsbridge.

Good Day, I am seeking detail of the above named, who in 1851 census,lived at 'Cruze Loman (unclear but near dairy)' in Cruwys Morchard, with parents;John & Elizabeth and Brother William. The family were in Deptford area of London in 1861 and Lydia married Thomas Charles Chapman in Peckham 12.04.1868. Her birth seems to have been registered at Tiverton in 1850 (2-3yrs. after the event. Any help with info. would be greatly appreciated. Added info. I believe that the Cruze Loman address, is a corruption of Cruwys Loman( a spelling mistake) see 1851 census Tiverton Sch.45 page14
