Mingo
- Colaton Raleigh
We are researching the ancestors of James Mingo. Born, Hawkerland, Colaton Raleigh circa 1830.
As yet we cannot place him for certain in any Mingo family.
in 1861 he was an unmarried butler living in at Barncoose, Redruth, Cornwall. By 1881 he had married Hanna Kirkin and was living near Caerhays Castle where he was also a butler.
We believe that our Gt uncle the grandson of James Mingo, married Clara Mingo, the grand daughter of James' brother George Mingo of C.R.
Any Mingo information most welcome.

Berry in Coldridge area
- Coldridge
I am researching BERRY (aka sometimes as BARRY until mid 1800's)in the Coldridge/Lapford/ Zeal Monachorum region. I have hit a brick wall with Job BERRY (BARRY) who married Temperance SOWDEN at Lapford on 19 Sept 1775 before moving to Coldridge and having 7 children, James, Ann, Temperance, Job, Jane, Joanna & William. James (named as BERRY) married Ann COOK of Zeal Monachorum in March 1813 at Coldridge. I cannot find any trace of Job before his marriage in 1775. Although he married as Job I suppose his name could have actually been something else such as John as John became a popular name in the family after 1800. Any help, pointers or suggestions would be appreciated.

Rawkerhayne Mitchell
- Colyton
I'm a descendant of John Mychell born 1410 of Rawkerhayne (Rockerhayne) near Colyton, Devon, England. My branch of the family moved to Ottery St Mary in the 17th century and resided there until the mid 19th when my ancestor moved to London. The family were originally yeoman farmers but took up the trade of butchers and fellmongers in Ottery, they also appear to have been religiously strong non-conformists . My website has details of extensive amateur and professional research into the Mitchell family with associated pedigrees (in plain text) dating back to 14th century and a gedcom for those with software to read this type of file. There are also photographs of Rawkerhayne farm house which is still in existance.
