I am looking for records of my Grandfather's half sister surname Scriven born between 1901 and around 1908. Father's name was George Henry Scriven and Mother was Rebecca nee Melbourne. They lived in Derby but George Henry was from Birmingham and Rebecca from Belper so the child could have been born in either towns.

My great grandfather Frank or maybe William i believe originated from Belper, his wife Phoebe Sarah nee Butler came from round there. They had three children who were Vera, Kate and Ken, when Phoebe was thirty according to the 1911 census she was living with the girls in Derby with her family, no mention of Frank. I have absolutely nothing on Frank as yet. Phoebe went to live in Blackpool where she died in 1957, at her daughter Kates house, Phoebe was a widow at this time.

Derbyshire Family of Biggin - Biggin (Nether Quarter, Hartington)
My great great Grandfather was William Derbyshire of Biggin Moor, who, in 1823, married Ann Lovett(born Middleton-by-Youlgreave, Derbyshire, around 1800). I am unable to find any information about William Derbyshire, who seems to have died or disappeared before the 1841 Census - can anybody help? His eldest son, John Derbyshire (born 1827) is buried in St. Thomas' churchyard, Biggin. John farmed at Biggin Moor and his son William was landlord of the Waterloo Inn, Biggin on the 1901 Census.

I'm looking for the maiden name of Patience Carrington, born around 1838 in Boylestone. She married William Carrington, of Sandy Brook near Ashbourne. They had a daughter Ellen Elizabeth who later bought Mount Pleasant Farm, Boylestone, with her husband, Arthur Silcock. Any information about the family would be gratefully received. Since first making this posting, I have come across circumstantial evidence to suggest that the surname was Moorcroft. Can anybody corroborate this?

Where were these people living ? - Boylestone
Thomas Greaves and Elizabeth Walker were married at Marston Montgomery 8 October 1774 and their first child was baptised at St John The Baptist in 1775. Thomas jnr was baptised 27 Sept 1778. I cannot find any record of the parents' burials or Thomas Jnr's subsequent marriage to Elizabeth ?. Their first known child was baptised about 1809 at Mackworth. Any information as to the intervening years appreciated, or any information on the parents. Thomas jnr later became a master blacksmith - was he apprenticed?
