I am researching the WHISKIN family. William (b1832) and Jane SHARP (b1837) lived in Alpine Cottage on Windmill Lane in Belper from about 1870 until at least 1903. Jane died c1895. William died in 1903 leaving a daughter, Henrietta. I have not been able to find her after that date. She was 34 at the time of her fathers death.

Researching the William (b1807) and Charlotte (b1806) Harrison family of Holbrook near Belper. In the 1841 ,1861 and 1881 census he is a farmer living at Holbrook. His family consists of John (b1831) Mary (b 1833) Rodger (b1834) Catherine (b 1839) Henry William (b1845) Elizabeth (b1847) and Charlotte (b 1850). I am interested in particular in Catherine who married Robert Gowland in Thirsk Yorkshire in 1865. Catherine died in1875 leaving two children Roger and Kate. Robert remarried Rebecca Stanhope (b1839 at Crich) and emigrated with the children to Maryborough Queensland Australia in 1878. Kate was my wife's ggrandmother. Derbyshire Family of Biggin - Biggin (Nether Quarter, Hartington)
My great great Grandfather was William Derbyshire of Biggin Moor, who, in 1823, married Ann Lovett(born Middleton-by-Youlgreave, Derbyshire, around 1800). I am unable to find any information about William Derbyshire, who seems to have died or disappeared before the 1841 Census - can anybody help? His eldest son, John Derbyshire (born 1827) is buried in St. Thomas' churchyard, Biggin. John farmed at Biggin Moor and his son William was landlord of the Waterloo Inn, Biggin on the 1901 Census.

Thomas Greaves and Elizabeth Walker were married at Marston Montgomery 8 October 1774 and their first child was baptised at St John The Baptist in 1775. Thomas jnr was baptised 27 Sept 1778. I cannot find any record of the parents' burials or Thomas Jnr's subsequent marriage to Elizabeth ?. Their first known child was baptised about 1809 at Mackworth. Any information as to the intervening years appreciated, or any information on the parents. Thomas jnr later became a master blacksmith - was he apprenticed?
