The 1861 census shows occupation as a shoe maker living in Manchester married Sarah from Chesterfield date unknown. he is my 3 x gt grandfather.his son william dob 1842 Manchester, his son James Ed dob 1874 Manchester, his son Albert V dob 1894 Manchester, his daughter Elsie dob 1932 Alkrington, Middleton, Manchester, her son, me! Malcolm Waters dob 1958. Any help much appreciated.

Hawley / Howley and Bagshaw - Winster
I am descended from Christopher Bagshaw who was born in Winster, Derbyshire in 1717. He "emigrated" to North Wales and was the first of a long line of Bagshaws in the lead mining industry near Halkyn, Flintshire. He married Sitha HOWLEY (probably Hawley) in Northop, Flintshire on the 30 July 1743. Sitha is my 5X great grandmother and I am trying to find any of her ancestors/siblings. I believe she was born in Derbyshire but I have no details. Sitha is a name which is itself a mystery; is it an abbreviation or a nickname, was she Sarah or Elizabeth? Christopher Bagshaw was the son of Daniel (born 3 Jan 1687) and the grandson of Christopher Bagshaw ( born Youlgreave c. 1665) I am hoping that those of you on this section of the message boards may be able to offer some help/information which would allow me to take things further. Isaac Fretwell born circa 1797 in he stated he was a an Edgetool Maker of Eckington near Sheffield in his 2nd Lifeguards Records, he was also a policeman in Brentford Middx. He signed on to Lifeguards in 1820 and went to London he was a Corporal of the Horse at Pimlico. He died in 1846 the only two Isaacs that I can find born in the area are both still alive on 1851 Census my Isaac is dead. Any Help!!
