Wilson, Jones - Morton
My grandfather John James Wilson was born at Morton Moor,Derbyshire on 15th February 1884, his parents were Luke Wilson and Hannah Wilson formerly Saunders or Sanders, Luke was a horse keeper at the colliery, I think that James as he was known had two brothers Arthur and George who were killed in mining accidents.James worked for the county council road department and was a builder and constructor of roads. James ran off with my grandmother Frances Jones born 28th December 1891 at 522 Stonebroom, she had married Stanley Wilfred Henry Naylor 28th August 1909 but later ran off with my granddad John James Wilson, they had two children John Leonard Wilson born 15th June 1912 and Harold Arthur Wilson born 12th October 1913, they were both born in Nottingham. James had another son I do not know his name but believe he resided near Shirebrook. Frances died 3rd January 1917 from TB. John James died 15th June 1950, John Leonard was brought up by his grandparents Luke and Hannah on their farm , he died 25th August from a tropical disease that he caught in the war. Harold Arthur (always known as Arthur) died 28th June 1990. James lived at Ashford in the Water with a Mrs Garratt at Hall End Road and is buried in the local churchyard. Luke was born 25th October 1855 at Matlock. His parents were William and Hannah Wilson (formerly Baker)If anyone can help with any information or photographs l would be very grateful, I do not have any photos except a picture of a road that James built.
