Toon Family
- Kings Newton
Elizabeth Toone married Anthony Pulsford in 1823 at Derby (St Werkmund) and their daughter Mary (born c 1832) is my ancestress. According to the Melbourne Baptist Chapel Registers (RG4 945), a Thomas Toon (born c 1796, a butcher) married 1819 Elizabeth daughter of William Sylvester and Ann. Thomas and Elizabeth Toon had Thomas (1820 - 1899), Ann 1826 and William 1832. Any information welcome.

WAIN or HAZLEWOOD - Litchurch
I am seeking information regarding JOHN HAZLEWOOD who married CATHERINE WAIN, living in DERBY area. They married about 1861.
See also GEORGE famly.
The Hazlewoods headed by John (born about 1830 in Soham, Cambridgeshire) & Catherine (born in 1831, formerly CATHERINE WAIN) had a son called Arthur 1865 & daughter Mary 1868. Thomas William GEORGE & John HAZLEWOOD both worked on the railways. I am fairly sure that Sophia George (Thomas's wife born in Soham in 1919) & John Hazlewood were brother & sister, (both children of John & Mary Hazlewood of Soham, Cambs) but have not been able to prove it yet. By the 1901 census Catherine had died and John was living with his son , Arthur, Arthur's wife - Mary J Hazlewood and the granddaughter Gertrude M Hazlewood born in 1897 in Derby. Any information on any of the families would be greatly appreciated.
