My mother's great aunt Elizabeth See married a George Daniel born c 1861 in Eyam in 1894 in Manchester. He was a shoemaker. In 1881 he lived at The Hedge, Eyam with his parents Joseph a lead miner born c 1821 and Harriet a shoe binder-and his brothers James 1863 William 1864 and Thomas 1865 all shoemakers. There was a niece there too Ada Cocker. This could mean Harriet's maiden name was Cocker. Does anyone know the family or the property?

JOHN Hibbert was baptised at Taxal on 21 Sep 1794 son of John and Martha Hibbert. He married Mary Cotterill on 24 Sept 1824 at Hope. Their children were all baptised at St Peters, Fairfield. They were William Cotterill Hibbert born 1825, John 1826, Millicent 1828, George 1829, Martha 1832, Mary 1835, Ann 1839 and Elizabeth 1842. John died on 1 March 1850 at Long HIll Farm, Fairfield. I have lots of information about the descendants of this family and would like to make contact with any relatives.

I am researching family in the Eyam/ Foolow are of Derbyshire. William Young of Foolow, a leadminer and farmer is recorded as being 91 years of age on his grave transcript and died on 27/3/1838. This makes his birth year as 1747. I am unable to find his birth or death records. He married Sarah Eaton in Foolow 30/9/1773. Can anyone help please?

William Birch - Glossop
William Birch was the landlord of the Rose & Crown pub in Glossop from 1905-1918. He died 17 Feb 1918, age 57. That would put his birth yr 1860/61. He was married to Amelia, she took over the pub for 4 years after his death. They had a daughterEunice Annie, who married Frederick Thomas. Also had a son Jack S Birch. He was the informant on both DC's. Amelia died in Dagenham, Essex, but was buried in Glossop. I really would like to know where and when William was born. There were a lot of William Birches in Notts/Lancs area born around his yr, but can't narrow him down.

William Woodruff born c 1833/38 - Glossop
I am looking for birth family and dob for my great grandfather. He served in the HEIC in India Campaign 1857/58 and then joined the British Army, 2nd Battalion 3rd Buffs from 1860 - 1881. The lived in Aldershot when first child Frederick was born in1870. The other children were Henry b 1871, Loftus b 1879 and George b 1880 in Dover Kent. He married Mary Brown from Limerick Ireland. Eventually, after discharged from army, they lived in Sheffield. I would be grateful for any info on his birth/family details.

I'm trying to trace Alice Dawson. I don't know if she was born in Glossop, but I know that she gave birth to her 1st daughter Beatrice (c1900) in Glossop. Alice had a 2nd daughter Gwendoline (c1912) in Runcorn. Alice had both of these children out of wedlock before she married John Evans in Chester in 1916.
