Can anyone help me to find out why my ancestor William Revill was sentenced to prison in 1881? I have found an entry for him on the 1881 census for Vernon Street Prison in Derby, He was 31 years of age and Married,but I dont know who too, he was a Shoe Maker. Any help will be most appreciated.

My great-great-grandfather Henry TAYLOR was born in Creswell, Derbyshire in circa 1834. By the 1851 census he was living in Liverpool, occupation apprentice pavior. I realise the 1841 census is not as detailed as later ones, but this is my only hope of finding a connection to his immediate family, as he remained in Liverpool after 1851.
