Ellen Carrington married John Braddock in 1719. Ellen inherited Chinley Houses Estate that had been in the Carrington family since the middle of the 1500's. It was then passed down the Braddock line. SAMUEL GEORGE BUTCHER was born in Twerton,Bath in 1880.In 1901 he was a Railway Porter lodging in Sutton in Ashfield.He married Annie Lizzie Hoggard (b1883) at St,Mary Magdalene's, Cresswell in 1908. By then he was a Railway Signelman. They lived in Baker's Row,Cresswell in 1908 then in 1910, John Street, Cresswell Clowne. This was where thier son George Edwin Butcher was born in 1910.
