Westley, John & Agnes - Westmoreland (County, WES)
I am trying to find information re: John and Agnes Westley. Agnes was born in Kendal, Westmoreland, approx. 1828. I don't know her maiden name, or when she married John ,but John and Agnes had two sons..Edward and Stephen Westley. Edward Westley was born in 1848, and christened June 30th, 1850 in Millom, Cumberland. Stephen Westley was born in Roade, in 1859.
I believe that Agnes is my great-grandmother. I don't know if/when John Westley died, but Agnes later married Edward Gawthorn, who was born in Roade, (b.about 1820)
This is a huge stumbling block for me, as I was unaware that Agnes had been previously married before she married my great-grandfather.
I am desparately seeking Agnes' maiden name, and running constantly into brick walls here.
Hope someone can help me out with this.
Thanks from Canada
