William Bell (born 1819 Alston) married Ann Coulthard 1853 in Barton, Westmorland. Their first child Hannah was born 1854 Penruddock and their second child Sarah Ann was born 1857 Barton.
William and Ann Bell both died in 1859 and their two children Hannah Bell and Sarah Ann Bell were brought up by William's brother Thomas Bell who lived in Penrith. Sarah Ann Bell married Thomas Wharton in 1885 and had five children.
Both Hannah and Sarah Ann appear on the 1861-1881 censuses in Penrith. ROBINSONS & I'ANSONS, PENRITH UK
- Penrith
Iam looking for info for my family tree on Marriages of Robinsons and I'anson from Penrith from the 1800 to 2009. My grandfathers name was Alexander I'anson, who married Elizabeth A Robinson, in 1912 in Penrith, Cumberland. Alexanders father was Charles I'anson, who married Isobella Robinson, 1881 Carlisle. Charles and Isobella had 7 children, Alexander abt 1891, Charles Newton abt 1885, Newton abt 1888, Florence abt 1859, Frances Robina abt 1897, Lilly abt 1899 and Robert abt 1889.
John Newton Robinson abt 1831, married Isabella Robinson abt 1836 in 1853 in Penrith, Cumberland. I believe John Newton Robinsons Parents were, John and Margaret Robinson, John being born about 1791 +-.
Other Marriages to I'anson, that i know of are, Carruthers and Borrowdale.
I have found several marriages and the children of those marriages, going back to 1791. However i am having difficulty in tracing a lot of the children out of these marriages.

My Thomas Hodgson was born in 1791...but Parish records in Cockermouth show one born 21 Mar 1791 to Thos& Ann, another born 16 April 1791 to John & Mary. No census to check, no occupations, no clues.....this Thomas became a husbandman in Ponsonby, married Hannah, father of Thomas, Mary Ann, Hannah.
