I am trying to find the marriage of Henry and Frances Moser who lived in Maryport Cumberland. They had a daughter called Ann(annie)Moser born in 1862 Maryport. On the 1861 Census the surname Moser is with Motor. I cannont find anything else on the before or after this date.

Cartmer Family Maryport - Maryport
I am trying to find more details of my husband's family that lived in Maryport and Cockermouth. An Uncle had a butchers shop in Maryport. Mary Alice Cartmer married Tom Bennett, they lived at 25 King Street and emigrated to New Zealand in 1926 on the Ionic. I am particularly interested in trying to tie all the Cartmer families together. I would even like to get copies of photos of the area's that they lived.

Am looking for information on the family of the above William Harrison born October 1812 in Maryport died in Southampton water 1860 in a squall when transfering from the Grest Eastern to shore. Think there may also be a brother John, also a captain in the merchant marine, no birth details known.

Looking for information about my G.Grandfather a Charles Cairey c.1864 or his wife Catherine. up until 1907 the family were living a Llandaff, Cardiff Wales and then moved to Cumbria area. Charles could have been a miner. Catherine died approx. 1912. What happened to Charles? My Grandfather was James Cairey c.1902 and my Mother Elizabeth Cairey was born at Maryport, Cumbria 1941.

John Woodhall - Melmerby
Seeking information concerning John Woodhall, born about 1861, place inknown. He married Sarah Lancaster, July 5, 1786 in Addingham Parish. Sarah was born about 1864 in Great Salkheld. John died in February of 1822 and Sarah died in June of 1825. They are both buried in the Melmberby Church Yard. Any information would be appreciated.

PATTENSON family of Melmerby and Penrith, Cumberland. John Edward Pattenson, Esq. married Mary Anna Frances Antoinetta Harris in Tipperah, India, on March 8, 1801. (John's brother, Charles Pattenson married Mary Anna's sister, Elizabeth Harris, on May 3, 1802, at Fort William, Calcutta, India.) Mary Anna Harris' parents were Stephen Harris of Rugby, Warwickshire and West Bengal, India, and Mary Harris of London and Daventry - daughter of Samuel Harris and Elizabeth Hamlyn. The children of John Pattenson and Mary Anna Harris included: Mary Jane Pattenson Jacob, John Edward Pattenson, Henry Rees Pattenson, Arthur Harris Pattenson and Robert Cane Pattenson. John was the son of Thomas Pattenson and Barbara Grainger. Thomas was the son of Lancelot Pattenson and Margaret Orfeur. Lancelot was the son of Thomas Pattenson and Elizabeth Threlkeld. Thomas was the son of John Pattenson and Mary Sleddall. I am working with my cousin, Peter Bales, on these Pattenson and Harris lines. Thank you, Susan Jacob Garcia.

Thomas Teasdale and Annie Elizabeth Kerr (nee Teasdale) - Melmerby
Looking for descendents of Thomas Teasdale, born in Ousby, Cumbria on 28.12.1855. Parents Joseph Teasdale, born 1832, died 1901, and Mary Ann (nee Barker), born 1835, died 1899. Thomas moved to ? Liverpool and I think he worked for an agricultural supply business down there. I have all details for most of his brothers and sisters and family going back to 1670 and would like to fill the gap. I would also like to trace descendents of Annie Elizabeth Kerr (nee Teasdale), his sister also born in Ousby, Cumbria on 29.10.1862 to Joseph and Mary Ann Teasdale, she married Hugh Kerr and after living in Scotland were last heard of in Liverpool.

Isabella Lowther was born in Millom c1811. She married Joseph Wilson c1840. They moved to Kendal, Westmorland were all their children were born and the family middle names included Lowther and Gough. Their son William Henry Wilson was Registrar for Births Deaths & Marriages in Kendal during c1860's. The Wilson family moved to south-west London c1900

I have a William Wylde born 1737 (Millom), married 1 Dec 1768 to Elizabeth Postlethwaite born 1744(Millom). Elizabeth died 19 Nov 1827 at Raylands, Millom. I believe Wm and Elizabeth are the parents of Thomas Wylde born 1781 Dashet Gate, Millom. Thomas immigrated with his wife Elizabeth and their sons John & George & daughters Frances & Elizabeth from Liverpool to New York 12 August 1833. They apparently had 2 sons Henry & William who stayed behind. I am looking for any info about previous generations & descendents of Henry or William. Also do Dashet Gate and Raylands still exist?

Donald Eaton born abt 1951 in Millom is seeking any informatiom on his sister Jacqueline Eaton born abt 1949 in Millom, they had a brother Cecil who commited suicide. They were all taken into care with foster parents May & Basil Seward who lived in Cockermouth. Donald has not seen his sister for over 30yrs and would love dearly to get in touch with her. Solomon Birkett & family of Millom area - Millom
I am researching the Birkett family who lived and worked in the Millom area. My greatgrandfather is Solomon Birkett. He was born in Seathwaite in 1851. Solomon was a mining engineer and probably worked at the Hodbarrow Mine at some stage. His father in law was John Lloyd Burn who is reported as discovering iron ore in this area. Hi, Looking for anyone who has information on the Northcotes that lived in Millom from c. 1870 to c. 1924. Richard Northcote moved from Devon in the late 1860's-1870. Richard's wife was Ann (Tancock), with children Richard, Henry, Mary Ann and Robert (Robert died 1870 at 14-15 years), their son John appears to have stayed in Devon. Son Henry married Margaret Alice Wilson. He worked in the mines, but also owned some properties and an orchard on King St. His children were Richard, John, Henry, Elizabeth (married a Holmes I believe), Solomon, Frederick and another daughter whose name escapes me. Does this sound familiar to anyone. If so I would love to hear from you.

Wilson Memorial Church - Milton
Does anyone know of the Joseph Wilson Memorial Church at Milton? I have newspaper cuttings from the opening in July 1928. Joseph Wilson was born in the area about 1850, the church was completed by his brothers Thomas and Isaac Wilson. Alderman Hugh Jackson was instrumental in its construction. The land was given by Lady Cecilia Roberts.
