Body Family From Fowey, In Central Cornwall
- Fowey
My own BODY Family originates from QUETHIOCK, in EASTERN CORNWALL. My Gx5 Grandparents, JOHN BODY and Thomasine TOLL, married, in July 1731, at St. Hughs Parish Church, Quethiock.
In the course of my research, I have traced several other Body Families, in OTHER PARTS OF CORNWALL AND DEVON. I have traced a BODY Family in FOWEY, IN CENTRAL CORNWALL.
They are the DESCENDANTS of JOSEPH BODY and Elizabeth TOM, who married, on 30 March 1817, at FOWEY Parish Church. I know of ten of their Children, from JAMES BODY, on 8 January 1817, to WILLIAM BODY, on 24 August 1834, who were all Baptised also at FOWEY Parish Church.
Two of the Children of Joseph and Elizabeth BODY were also married in FOWEY.
Ann BODY married Edward VINCENT, on 24 December 1843, in FOWEY Parish Church.
Robert BODY married Elizabeth Hicks NICKELS, on 23 August 1854, in LANTEGLOS BY FOWEY, Parish Church.
Another Son, Joseph BODY married Elizabeth COOKE, on 23 May 1847, in TYWARDREATH Parish Church, CORNWALL.
I know of some of the DESCENDANTS of JOSEPH BODY and Elizabeth TOM. Some of them now live in several OTHER COUNTIES OF ENGLAND and WALES.
I am particularly interested in their other BODY DESCENDANTS, especially any of those in DEVONPORT, PLYMOUTH or STOKE DAMEREL, i...
