Seeking help with HANCOCK family of Cornwall. Only information have is Benjamin William Hankcock was born in Melrose South Australia in late 1890's and his father was ..... HANCOCK who jumped ship from Cornwall think around 1860's (maybe bit later?) and came to Australia to the goldrush area of Melrose South Australia. Later his son Benjamin William Hancock moved to Renmark where his son Harold William was born around 1928. Bill is still alive and lives in Heyfield in Victoria, Australia. Any news about family welcomed.

I am trying to trace the parents of Richard Henry Walters DOB c1857 and Joseph Eustace Walters DOB c1859. From information so far it appears they were miners in Cornwall. I believe they emigrated to South Australia to a town called Moonta when the children were young. Their mother may have had the maiden name of Eustace as this name has been used extensively as a christian name in the following generations.

I'm trying to find information regarding the Rev William Richards born c 1831 sailed from Portsmouth 13 Sept 1865 to South Australia 11 Dec 1865. Married Sarah Spicer. Ministered around South Australia, settled in the Pentland Hills. Had children including Frederick (later a S A judge & ? became knighted) Percival (owned clothing & fabric stores, married twice, second wife Jessie Linacre). William also helped start the Methodist Church in Australia. Travelled with Rev Richard Lang and W. Wesley Finch.

Grandson of William TOMS (b. 1801) and son of Thomas REYNOLDS TOMS (b.1852)who was an Ag Lab around Fowey. William worked for the railway, was a railway porter aged 17 at 1891 census. Married Eliza Anne STRONGMAN (b. 1871 Falmouth)at Falmouth 1896, now a railway signalman. Believed to have become a J.P.
I would like help to uncover more information about him. e.g. where might I get records of employees of the mighty Great Western Railway? And are there registers of J.P. officials?

I have a Wm Henry Tippet(t) born about 1856, a Merchant Seaman and his father's name John(Farm Worker or Farmer) according to Wm Hry's marriage cert. marrying in Stoke Damerel Reg. Dist in 1875/6 to a Jessie Smith, is there anyone out there also having this chap in their tree, would love to know where be was born as he seems to be absent from his family on every census, if you have any information would love to hear from you. My 3rd Gt.Grandfather Henry FLUELLEN was appointed to St.Mary's Coastguard Station as probationary boatman 1 Apr 1820, until 16 Nov 1825 when he was transferred to Mousehole. With wife Susannah nee WOODLEY (married 1816 Exeter) & possibly 2 childrenSusannah & Mary, further children Henry (1821), James (1823), & Eliza (1824) were born on the island. Would appreciate information on their life there - where was the coastguard station, where might they have lived, is there any record of coastguardservice, childrens schooling, etc.

Thomas Arnold, born 1831 Sheffield, married Mary Ann Nicholls (from a Tresco family) in the Scillies 1860. He became lighthouse-keeper at Bishop's Rock and later (1870) Wolf Rock lighthouse. His parents John and Elizabeth ran a general dealer's shop on The Parade, St Mary's. Any info appreciated!
