Looking for the origins of grandfather John Henry Grigg he died in the Fulham area of London in approx 1938-39. We believe he came from Cornwall or Somerset. His trade was listed as a toolmaker. His children were called John Henry born 1913, Caroline Mabel 1916 and Blanch 1918. His wife was Charlotte Louisa GRigg( ne Rouse and Rice). They all lived in Fulham London. We believe he had a least one older brother who may have gone abroad to live. He may have attended St Pauls boys school in London.

My second great grand father was John SHERMAN, and all I know is he was born in Cornwall in 1806 and died in 1859 and that he was probably a Miller. He was twice married, first wife Sarah unknown, and they were married in 1831. They had Elizabeth, William Henry in 1835, Lydia and Charlen. John Sherman later married Isabella LAWRENCE 1845 in Cornwall. Their children were: James, 1846. Jordan 1848. Richard Ernest, 1849. Fannie, 1850. Wallace Alfred, 1852. Walter Woods, 1853. My dads father was Frederick John harris Born in Cornwall 1885 + - am battling to trace info.
He came to S.A 1909+-.
Frederick Harris Married Ada Matthews in the September, 1910 Redruth, Cambourne area in Cornwall.I have established that Frederick John Harris's Father's name was Frederick John Harris as well and lived in Pool and worked on the mines. Witnesses at the Marriage were William Charles Richards and Eliza Jane Matthews (nee Bawden)
Ada Penrose's parents were James Matthews/Mathews born 1862 and Eliza J. Bawden. James' father was Robert Mathews born 1835. (Roberts'other children were Robert, Elizabeth, William, Annie and Albert.)
My dad's eldest Sister Dorothy May was born in St Just + - 1911 Fred J. (Junior) my dad's brother born in Redruth 1912.
Ada's parents lived in Redruth at Innes/Inys? road in 1910 my dad always used to talk about Innes road. My dad also chatted about Plymouth he was born in South Africa. Dad was a Carpenter by trade. Fred Junior an engineer James the younger brother was a blacksmith and they all worked on the Mines in this area.
Ada Penrose's Mother was Eliza Jane (Bawden) & father was James Penrose Matthews. His father was Robert Matthews born Penzance or Madron. That is all the info I have.
Could anyone assist with any information please.

Frances Foxall was born in Bridgnorth ca. 1854 to Thomas Foxall and his wife Eliza. Thomas was a tailor by trade. Frances (Fanny) married John Spargo of Cornwall April 20, 1878, in the parish of Aston county of Warwick in 1878. The two emmigrated to the US with their 11 month old daughter Frances Mary in September of 1879. Frances Foxall had a rich history that involved widowhood and remarriage to John Spargo's Brother Nick in 1884. Nick's disappearance in 1899/1900 left Frances and daughter Marry in Waterbury, Connecticut, USA. Mother and daughter returned to Frances' family in Bridgnorth 1899/1900. I'm looking for what happened to Frances (Fanny) and Mary after their return to England

William Henry Mitchell

William Herny Mitchell was born 1836 in Cambourne, Cornwall, England. His parents were John Mitchell and Sarah (nee; Temby) Mitchell.
William married at the age of 21 years, to Ann Stevens on the 14th of September 1857.
William died in 1889, in Maldon, Victoria, Australia aged 53 years. (another possible death date is 7th of january 1899?). He is burried in a family grave in the Maldon cemetary, Castlemaine/Loden district. Would love to find out more about his life in Cornwall, employment, family-tree etc..thanks.

Cambourne and Qwinear.
My Great Great Grandmother Ann Mitchell (Stevens) was born in 1839 in Gwinear, and her husband William Henry Mitchell my Great Great Grandfather was born in Cambourne in 1836.
They are said to of had a total of 10 children of which my Great Grandfather Joseph Howard Mitchell - born 1876, was one.
He is said to be the youngest.
The rest, as far as we know, are as follows:-
Mary Melinda - dead before 1896?
Ellen Jane - born 1861?
Allen Steven - dead before 1876?
Ellen - born 1864
Annie - born 1869
Elizabeth - born 1871
Charles Woodall - born 1874
and Joseph Howard.
Because of the very small script writting on the certificate that I got this information from, some names and dates may not be correct.

They had children called William (b. c. 1826, St Austell), Richard (b. c. 1836, St Ewe) and Elizabeth (b. c. 1839, St Ewe). There are probably more children but I cannot find them.
