My g.g.g.g.grandfather Charles Vivian was born here in 1760,son of Roger Vivian b. 1715 and Elizabeth Eva b.1719. Charles married Mary Tippet in 1783 dau. of James Tippet and Mary Vivian. Charles Vivian left Camborne in 1793 and moved to Neath in Glamorgan to work for the Neath Abbey Iron Company as an Agent or Manager. It`s likely he left his employment at Neath in the early 1800s and moved to Tredegar to work for The Tredegar Iron Company.

The last page of the birth Certificate of Francis was singed by a priest of Camborne Rome-Catholic church. The Certificate itself is lost. Their father was Jacob James Simons, a nobleman. Great gr grandfather Edward GEORGE lived there with his family from 1805 to 1877. His death certificate describes him as a retired gold miner. He married Maria Trevela 1804-1874 a grandaughter of James Trevailer b. 1733 & Mary Pearce and also grandaugher of Stephen Rule b. 1734 and Anna Rowe b. 1730. His son, Joseph 1831-1900 b. Tuckingmill married an Amelia Stephens [1835-1917] born Twyardreath and married Stoke Climsland. They migrated to South Australia in 1854. Joseph gave away mining to become a baker and pastrycook serving copper gold and tin miners in Australia. Would love to know how the family came to live in Cornwall, but can only go back to Joseph's grandfather, Edward who married a Mary Pearce in Illogan in 1793. Before that is shrouded in mystery, but hopefully someone in Cornwall can shed some light on the matter!

Hello My great great great great grandfather, William Henry Rosevear/s, emigrated (free) from Camelford Cornwall, born 1773, to Hobart, Tasmania in 1829 on ship 'Calista' with servant Mary Burton and 4 children to wife Sarah Rosevear (left behind!). He died in Launceston Tasmania in 1860, leaving 13 children and also a town in Tasmania named after him. Can anyone fill me in on his/family's history? Also I come from his daughter, Mary Rosevear/s (1831 TAS -1887 TAS)who married George Rivers Vincent (b.1823 on ship 'Elizabeth' to Tas - d.1881 Tas) (son of John Vincent who emigrated (free)with wife Susannah (nee Rivers) and children in 1823 on'Elizabeth' to Hobart)from town of St Dominick in Cornwall.
