I am looking for information on John Hodge born around 1802 and married Hannah Nicholls in the parish of St Austel in 1826. I believe he was living in Charlestown when he died in 1852. He was a farmer. His son Philip Hodge migrated to Australia in 1854.

Miners of Westbridge - St. Austell
William Henry Miners married Lily Maud Gilbert. They are buried in St Austell cemetary. Does anyone know anything of Charles Miners b 1848, he married Elizabeth Ann Ham. I have found him on 1891 census, but no other record.Charles was William's father.

Robert Gilbert to America? - St. Austell
I am looking for Robert Gilbert, b 1860, he married Grace Ann May from St.Ewe,in 1882. After 1886 he supposedly left his family and went to America. I have no other information. Grace Ann listed herself as a widow on the 1901 census, but Roberts's granddaughter insists that he went to America. I would love to find where he is buried, can anyone help?

HOSKING - JENKINS - VIVIAN - St Austell
Can anyone check a parish register for me. Cornwall FHS printout shows a marriage of Betsy VIVIAN to Richard JENKINS 15 Aug 1829 in St Austell. 1851 FreeCEN shows Betsy HOSKING living with mother Catherine VIVIAN and 7 childen but no father. The 1841 FreeCEN shows a Richard HOSKIN with his wife Elizabeth with 5 children the youngest 3 being among the 7 of the 1851 Census. Could HOSKING have been read as JENKINS?

Stephens of St Austell (Holmbush) - St. Austell
I am researching the Stephens family who lived in Holmbush, St Austell in the 1820's, 1830's. My ancestors were George and Elizabeth Stephens. George was a miner and they had four children George Stephens, Jane Bate Stephens, Robert Stephens and Walter Stephens. Jane later turns up in Bakewell and Calver in Derbyshire. Any further information would be much appreciated.

Looking for parents, grandparents of CAROLINE CARVETH married to KENNETT (Kenneth) BANKS (Bankes) c1821 at St Austell. I have info on many Carveths but can't find a Caroline among them, and don't know where she fits in. I have 3 conflicting dates for her marriage (1st July 1821; 21st April 1822; or 1825) with different spellings of her husband's name (correctly he was Kennett Banks b c1799, lived Charlestown, St Austell). Osborne, Stocker, Andrew, Truscott - St Austell
Baptist minister,Rev. John Henry Osborne married Emma - in 1842 at St Austell. She died and in 1847 he married Mary Merifield (a widow). She had died by the time of the 1851 Census. When Rev. JHO died in 1886 he left parts of his estate to Elizabeth Truscott, sister of Emma, and property of Mary to Benjamin Andrew, Thomas Stocker and Edward Stocker - all of St Austell. Can anyone shed any more light on this story?

He married Mary Jane Barnett (1840-1891), the daughter of Loveday and James Barnett, who was born at St. Austell in Cornwall in 1840 and died from influenza at Canterbury Street in Clunes on 2 October 1891. I need to find information with regard to John's parents, his address, employment, etc.

Pearce/Pascoe - St Austell
Digory Pearce (son of Thomas Pearce and Elizabeth Clemoes/Clemas) born in St Austell in 1795. He married Elizabeth Pascoe in 1825 and they had five children: Jane (born 1830), John Pascoe (born 1826), Thomas (born 1828 died 1829) Thomas (born 1833) and George (born 1836). Both Digory and Elizabeth died in 1836, leaving a very young family. Jane is my great grandmother but I know nothing of what happened to the rest of the children. Any help appreciated.

I believe James' father to be James Thomas, Sr (b, 1810/11) and believe both James Jr and Sr were connected with the Cornish Copper Company at Hayle as blacksmiths.

Emma Treslaw - St Austell
Any information on the above person who is possibly my ggg-grandmother. Found in 1901 Census at the age of 78 living in Lower Porthpean but cannot find in earlier censuses. Query on spelling of surname as entry is indistinct. Anecdotal evidence from my family suggests the Treslaw family were builders and helped build the Market Building in St Austell.
