Does anyone know any history of John Emmanuel Ham b. 06.03.1844 in Laneast (sub district Altarnum), near Launceston Cornwall? - he was my great,great grandfather. I think his father was also John Ham b.1819 and his mother Magey(?) Stephens, and he married Ruth Howell b.1849. Or the location of a building known as Primrose Cottage, Laneast? (in 1844! - NOT a current address - could well be demolished/called something else by now). Just curious.

There son William (3) bpt: 28 Dec 1805 M: Caroline Stanbury (widow) nee Cornelious 4 Dec 1828 Altarnun, William (3) Occ: Miner & Linner. William & Caroline + five sons immigrated to Australia 22 Jan 1839. Then settled Oberon N.S.W. with a name change to Wilcox.

Hello, William Hoar, a butcher, (b10 Jan 1813 Lanlivery) married my GGG Aunt Catherine Blewett (b1811 Lostwithiel - d1838 Lanlivery) on the 1 May 1838.
Catherine gave birth in November to twin girls, one died at birth with Catherine dying too, and the other child Catherine Blewett Hoar lived for 11 months. Both Catherine and her daughters are buried at the Parish Church at Lanlivery.
William's address at the time of his marriage was Penquite, Lanlivery.
Just wondering if anyone was researching William Hoar's family?..

Body And Willcock Families From Lanreath In Central Cornwall

my own body family originates from quethiock in eastern cornwall. my gx5 grandparents, john body and thomasine toll, married, in july 1731, at st. hughs parish church, quethiock.
in the course of my research, i have traced several other body families, in other parts of cornwall and devon.
i have traced a body family in lanreath, in central cornwall.
robert body married mary willcock, on 19 may 1778, at lanreath parish church, cornwall.
i know of five baptisms, at this church, of their probable children.
1) elizabeth body, on 29 march 1779.
2) john body, on 11 march 1781.
3) mary body, on 17 october 1784.
4) john woolcock willcock body, on 19 july 1791.
5) joseph body, on 13 march 1794.
i believe that john woolcock willcock married his first wife, mary cock, about 1814, at warleggan parish church, cornwall.
i believe that he married his second wife, sarah treloar (nee ough), on 19 june 1841, at st.pinnock parish church, cornwall.
i believe that joseph body married elizabeth tom, on 30march 1817, at fowey parish church, cornwall.
i am interested in the descendants of any of these couples, who have the surname of body. i can supply a limited amount of information about some of their descendants with other surnames.

I am looking for any additional info on Caroline Harvey's origins. She was born c.1819 but I do not know her parents. I know she went to Australia in 1837 along with her parents and siblings. She married in Australia the following year and her groom was listed as a passenger on the same ship to Sydney that the Harvey's were on~ Charles Dinham was her groom. (I have no idea where he originally came from.)

She lived at 3 Clarence Place, Kingsdown Bristol c1915 and then Portland Cottage, Portland Place, Clifton, Bristol 8 and had four children, Sidney (my grandfather) b1895, Lillian Blanche b c1901, George b? and Gladys Evelyn b1910.
