Bawden - Altarnun
Looking for Honor Bawden born 1847. Cannot find any other info about her.

Richard Stephens - Altarnun
My great-grandfather, RICHARD STEPHENS,was born in Altarnun in 1839. His father was also a Richard, born c1800 in Trewen, and his mother was Charity (nee Coombe), born c1803 in Lewannick. I believe she might have died in 1852 and great great grandfather Richard remarried a Mary Pearse in 1854, but there appears to be no issue of this union. Richard Jr married Grace Jenkin, born in Egloskerry c1847,the daughter of Robert Jenkin and Ann Symons, in Plymouth in April 1866 and they set up house and farmed in the Callington area. They had eight children: Ann Jenkin c1867, William c1869, John Henry 1870, James 1875, Richard c1880, Harry(my grandfather)1885 and George 1889. Another child died in infancy. Ann married a James Harris, born 1863 in Callington, and in the 1891 census they are living in Liskeard Road, Callington and have a son John Henry B., born 1887. Two of Ann's brothers, William and John Henry, are lodging with them. By 1901, William, an engine driver, is living with his wife Mary, age 22, maiden name unknown, in New Road, Callington, and John Henry, a gold miner, with his wife Elizabeth and 3-month-old son Reginald J. J. in Tavistock Road. Other descendants of this generation are :- William, who was a schoolteacher, Arthur (James?), possibly the son of Ann's brother James. He was a policeman and he spent several years in Hong Kong training the local constabulary. He married a Dora and they had a daughter Gill (Jill?), who was also a teacher.I understand they had a vinyard in Cornwall, but moved to Spain. There may well also have been a Frank and a Frederick Stephens. My recently found long-lost cousin has told me that about four of my grandfather Harry Stephens's sisters-in-law, who were Anglo-Indians, came to Cornwall in 1947, when India gained independence from Britain. Their names were Florence, Bessie, Birdie and Carrie. If they were unmarried, their maiden name would have been Flynn.

KITT / Cornwall / Antony / Devonport - Antony
I am looking for Kitt ancestors from Antony. William Kitt was baptised there 23rd April 1784. He was son of John & Mary Kitt. They lived latterly in Devonport, and after Mary died there (1831), I believe John moved to Sheerness in Kent with their son William & his family. Presumably marriage for John & Mary is in the parish where she (or both of them) originated.

Wife, Honor, age 50. He has three daughters living with them in Caister, Norfolk.Address 'Near Road'. Honor May Brock, age 20,born Leigh on Sea, Essex. Matilda Ann Brock, age 15 born in Portsea, Hampshire (Portsmouth)and Sarah Ann Matilda Brock, age 10, born Stubbington, Hampshire (Portsmouth). The eldest daughter is not listed on the 1841 census as living with them, but is a school mistress at Rollesby Workhouse, nearby. Her name is Jane Palmer Brock age 24. She is believed to have been born in Devonport in 1817. (John must have been working in Devonport at this time)I'm trying to find out where the 'Palmer' name comes from. Was it her mother's maiden name? In marriage certificate for Jane Palmer Brock (who married George Mason 21st Sept 1848 at Caister, Norfolk) The father of the bride (John Brock)is now a 'Preventive Officer' by profession. Residing in Caister, Norfolk. He is now a widow, Honor, his wife, having died on 9th March 1843 (rupture of blood vessel) in 1851 census, John Brock age 66, still living in Caister, Norfolk. He is living with Honor May Brock (daughter) age 32. Address has changed slightly to 'near the church'. His profession is listed as 'Clerk, Royal navy, Commands Coastguard. In 1861 census, John Brock has moved from Norfolk to Redruth, Cornwall and is staying with Sarah Ann (daughter) and husband, David Barham. He is aged 76 and listed as 'superannuated Revenue Officer' John Brock died in Redruth, Cornwall in 1870 age 85. (5c 205) Matilda Ann Brock married Samuel Martin in 1858 at Deptford, Kent. Honor May Brock married Frederick Browes in 1853 at Old Curch, St Pancras, Middlesex. Sarah Ann Matilda Brock married David Barham in 1853(he was listed as a school master, she was listed as a schoolmistress at College Street Workhouse, Bury St Edmonds in 1851 census) I'm looking for Brock family in Antony. Brothers, sisters, mother, father of John Brock. I have heard (unsubstatiated) that John Brocks father was a clergyman.
